FAQs
GoFletch Mobile Vet frequently asked questions and answers!
What type of pets do you see?
Dr. Fletcher is a small animal veterinarian and predominantly treats dogs and cats. However, she has a passion for exotic animals and may be able to see your pocket pets, birds and reptiles upon detailed request. Her goal is to ensure that every pet receives the highest quality of care in the stress-free home environment.
Are housecall veterinary services more expensive than clinic visits?
There is a travel rate associated with housecall services. Clients often find the time savings and personalized care to be of great value. Please contact for pricing.
Are there risks associated with vaccination?
Vaccines have protected millions of animals from illness and death caused by infectious diseases. All medical procedures, however, carry with them some risk. Fortunately, in the case of vaccination, serious adverse responses are very infrequent. Veterinarians minimize risk by carefully selecting vaccines on the basis of a pet’s individual needs and by choosing appropriate injection sites. In an effort to find ways to prevent even these limited numbers of adverse responses from occurring, the AVMA is working with government and industry to redefine how information regarding adverse responses is gathered, analyzed, and disseminated.

Can I get medications for my pet from you?
Yes, Dr. Fletcher will have limited in-stock medications for pain management, ear & eye infections, and antibiotics. If an individualized or long term medicine needs to be prescribed (ex. Heartworm, Flea & Tick Prevention), you will order through our online store.
How can I prepare for the visit and how long are the visits?
Ensure that your pet is in a secure area from which they cannot escape. If possible, visit the patient portal to upload medical history or have your pet’s medical records handy, including any previous test results or medications they’re taking. Also, prepare any questions or concerns you wish to discuss with Dr. Fletcher. Most house call visits last between 30 to 60 minutes, but this can vary depending on the services needed and the number of pets seen.
What diagnostic testing do you do at home?
GoFletch can perform a variety of diagnostic procedures on-site, keeping in mind that some limitations exist compared to what can be offered at a a full veterinary clinic environment. Diagnostics such as juvenile and senior bloodwork, heartworm tests, urinalysis and fecal testing will be collected and sent to a laboratory.
Can you perform surgeries or x-rays during a housecall?
Due to the specialized equipment required, surgeries and x-rays are not performed during a GoFletch visit. If these services are needed, we will refer you to a local veterinary hospital.
Can I bring my pet to you instead of having you come to us?
No. GoFletch is a housecall service only. All visits will take place in your home and not in a vehicle.
Does GoFletch take Pet Insurance?
Dr. Fletcher highly recommends pet insurance and will happily provide your invoices for reimbursement through your provider.
